This cropped cardigan is mostly worked flat from the top down, with one chart included for the yoke and minimal finishing. The pattern features a circular yoke with cables, lots of texture and optional short-row shaping.

XS (S1, S2, M1, M2, L1, L2, XL, 2XL, 3XL)
Finished chest circumference 31 (33¼, 35¼, 37, 39, 41, 43½, 46¼, 50, 54¼) inches/79 (84.5, 89.5, 94, 99, 104, 110.5, 117, 127, 138) cm.
The sweater is intended to be worn with a little bit of positive ease at the chest. Please choose a size with 1-2 inches/2.5-5 cm of positive ease compared to your actual measurements.

Materials:
Approx. 1030 (1100, 1170, 1280, 1350, 1460, 1560, 1700, 1840, 2000) yards/940 (1005, 1070, 1170, 1235, 1335, 1425, 1555, 1680, 1830) meters of sport/light DK weight yarn.
About choosing yarn: the cardigan is designed with autumn in mind so think rich, warm colours and soft yarns next to the skin. For my sample I used a pure wool yarn (164 yards/150 meters per 50 gr) in a deep gold shade. Please note that the sweater is designed to be cropped. If you want to add length to the garment you will need more yardage and extra buttons.

20”/50cm or longer US4/3.5mm circular needle.
32”/80cm or longer US5/3.75mm circular needle or different size to obtain gauge.
36”/90cm or longer US6/4mm circular needle or different size to obtain gauge.
US6/4mm and US5/3.75mm DPNs (optional for sleeves).
2 stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders and a cable needle.
8-12 buttons, approx half inch/1.5 cm in diameter.

Gauge after blocking:
22.5 sts & 28 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in rev stst on larger size needle.
26.5 sts & 30 rows = 4 inches/10 cm (unstretched) in 3x1 rib on medium size needle.
